The Vermeer Applied Technology Hub in Ames, Iowa wanted an interactive installation that spoke to their partnership with Iowa State University and symbolized the fusion of digital technology and traditional manufacturing that often occurred there. This wall graphic incorporates circuitry lines in the gold color Vermeer and ISU share – as well as Cardinal red – intertwining with a literal gear hub as a symbol of the Vermeer Technology Hub. The three dimensional gears mounted in clusters were 3D Printed in house in collaboration with Vermeer engineers.
